County central committee
Set for 6:30PM Wednesday at The Office in Urbana. Joe will send an invitation to the main list.
Membership
Kostas is the point person for membership forms and is planning to host some working sessions on membership outreach between now and a couple of months out.
Cliff Thornton
Dates are set for the visit; April 11-15. Prairie should probably contribute $ to help Campus fund the event. Susan will plan a reception to be held on Sunday the 13th. A venue still needs to be booked for the community event earlier that day.
McKinney endorsement
There have been inquiries about Nader coming from personal contacts and the press operating on the assumption that Nader is working with the Green Party. Al suggested that Prairie could endorse Cynthia McKinney ahead of the national convention to put our local on record as supporting her in accordance with the primary results; this can go on next month's agenda.
Treasurer's report
Susan filed our 2007 campaign disclosure forms with the ISBE. We discussed funding a campaign office in the fall and a new tent for the Farmers' Market in the summer. Other business
Tom proposed having a presence at the County Fair. Susan suggested a campaign kickoff event in May preceded by a newsletter in April. Al and Kostas will produce a brochure in time for the campaign kickoff event. Joe will announce the secretary vacancy.
