The Farmers Market
This Saturday (July 7th), Tracy and Mark (who usually set up with Kevin), will be out of town, so Joe and Chris will help Kevin set up. Chris, Kevin, and Joe will close. Tracy promises to fill in for Joe in the future to make up for her absence.
July 4th Parade
Tom got us a spot in the parade, whose theme this year is "A Salute to Free Enterprise." Mark and Eric will dress in Democratic and Republican costumes, and carry signs saying, "Candidates for sale to the highest bidder." The rest of the Greens will carry signs saying, "the Green Party is not for sale." We will also pull wagons with pretty plants in them highlighting the theme "Green and Growing." Susan planned on bringing the banner.

Because of scheduling conflicts we will probably not be tabling at the Farmer's Market on June 16th, and Susan will look into moving it to June 23.
The IRV for Urbana event today got some coverage on WILL AM 580, and additionally Tom participated in taping a brief segment on the effort that will air on on UPTV. Petitioning, which began at the Farmer's Market last Saturday, is going well with positive response so far.

The newsletter was mailed last week. Reimbursement to Tom Abram, who covered the $60.00 cost of the mailing, was approved by the group.
The Independent Media Center has requested that we pay them quarterly instead of yearly. The cost of having our meetings at the IMC is $90.00 a quarter. This was approved.
The Farmers Market opens on May 19th. We have table space for this, which will cost us $175.50 for the entire summer. This cost was approved by the group.
Newsletter
The deadline for submissions for the newsletter is April 10th.
Joe Futrelle will submit his entries to Susan Rodgers, and Kostas offered to help with formatting the newsletter and compiling the information.
At the next Prairiegreens meeting, we'll stuff and stamp envelopes, and approve any financial reimbursements.
Several Praireigreens officers are out of town including our meeting convener, so this coming Monday's meeting on March 19 has been canceled.

The meeting began with a discussion of this past weekend's Illinois Green Party membership meeting, the Platform Committee, the most pressing issues of the up-coming elections, Rich Whitney's introduction of the Power to the People, and the importance of media coverage.

Change Membership Meeting Times?
A number of people have expressed that Thursday is not the best time for
the monthly membership meeting, including some officers. We have
proposed two nights.
